The Kings Speech<\/strong> is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday, 17 July 2024) and while I am sure a myriad of “good intentions” will be tabled my interest is only really in the amendment or replacement of the Tories Online Security Act<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In its manifesto Labour pledged to “build on” the outgoing Governments OSA<\/strong> (Online Safety Act) but try as I may to get an clarifications on Sir Keir Starmer\u00b4s “build on” schedule nothing is forthcoming. However, I understand that an Artificial Intelligence Bill<\/strong> is expected to ban sexually explicit deepfakes, and introduce new rules for the “most powerful AI models”. There is also talk that a Cybersecurity Bill<\/strong> specifically designed to protect national infrastructure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
